Studying. Why must I procrastinate ? It`s not even that I like it…it`s not proper to procrastinate. May Allah make it easier for me to not procrastinate and finish things on time, and study for things ahead of time; so no stress/anxiety clouds my studying time. Surrounding myself with millions of notebooks because I love pens and papers & rewriting the notes I rewrite from the notes...

Cursing
is repulsive. You use that same mouth to supplicate to Allah ? That’s like using the same hand you wipe with, to eat.

How many of us would be able to overcome our desires and resist the temptation of sin? How many of us even lower our gaze when we look upon something that we are not supposed to? The real prisoner is the one whose heart has been kept away from remembering his Lord, and the real captive is the one who has been captivated by his whims and desires.” Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [d.728H]

O, stranger.
Bismillahi al Rahmaan al Raheem. This hadeeth was narrated by Muslim (145) from Abu Hurayrah who said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Islam began as something strange and will revert to being strange as it began, so give glad tidings to the strangers.” The Muslim is a stranger, you Muslim are a stranger. This world wasn`t meant...

woe, me.
I can have it all; I can become the party girl. I can drink and smoke weed, I can go clubbing; I can even take of my hijab and start wearing skinny jeans and short dresses/ I can start putting my hair up in all types of elegant hairstyles. I can start putting makeup on again and wear high heels. I can talk to all the boys I want, when I went. I can gossip with the girls, I can start swearing, I...

Islam:The Solution: For Sisters: Female Scholars... →
islamthesolution: So we see that seeking Islamic knowledge is very important in Islam and this is for the men and the women. It is easy for us, as busy wives and mothers, to make excuses for not studying important subjects such as the Arabic language, correct aqeedah, tawhid, and biographies of the righteous…. Insha’Allah I will be on that list.

I think again the Problem with the Hijab issue...
Exactly. I think people are quick to jump on the “let`s not judge” wagon, when it’s only human nature to judge. If we see something, it’s part of our nature to make a judgment about it. If we see someone steal, we’d judge them as a thief. The problem is where we don’t distinguish that it’s not our place to judge someone by their intentions. That’s...

O Allah
My favorite food would taste bland right about now, even the sweetest of sweets would spark no tingle in my eyes. It`s the hunger I have for Allah, that will satisfy all my needs; it`s the thirst for his pleasure that will soothe my mind. O Allah, Creator of the world; my Lord, I ask you of guidance, I ask you for patience, I ask you for higher Eman. I ask you for sincerity in my actions, and...

How to make Duaa to Allaah
We should be conscious of how we conduct ourselves when we ask of Allah. There are a number of manners and etiquette we should take heed of. 1. We should only beseech Allah for that which is lawful and good. We should also avoid beseeching Allah with anything that transgresses against other people. It is Allah who enjoined upon us to beseech Him in prayer, and it is Allah who says: “Do not...

soft poison
It is reported that ‘Alî b. Abî Tâlib wrote to Salmâm Al-Farsî – Allâh be pleased with them both – saying: The likeness of this worldly life (dunyâ) is that of a snake: soft to the touch, it will kill you with its poison. So turn away from what impresses you of it, since what stays with you is so little. And do not be concerned about it, since you are certain about its parting. And be ...

So I have a choice to not cover?
Dear you, contrary to popular belief; you too, have the choice to cover up. & to be honest, I feel like westernized women are much more oppressed than eastern women or ANY Muslim across the world, if you want to talk about oppression. These women are objectified and demeaned, all in the name of “liberation.” How are you liberated when you can’t make a choice on your own?...

a treatment for egotism
It is reported that Imâm Al-Shâfi’î – Allâh have mercy on him – said: If you fear becoming deluded and impressed by your deeds then remember whose pleasure you are seeking, and the joy (Paradise) in which you want to be, and what punishment you fear. Whoever thinks about these things will diminish his deeds. Al-Dhahabî, Siyar A’lâm Al-Nubalâ` 10:42.

Free writing; Policemen have protocols that they have to follow to correctly arrest or detain someone. Doctors have specific protocols that they follow, they can’t deviate from protocol because it may pose health concerns. Now if you plan on opening your own hospital, you STILL have to follow the state’s protocols, you can’t just operate on someone in any way you’d like....

Ten causes that result in Allah`s love for His...
Ibn al Qayyim al Jawziyyah; Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned ten causes that result in Allah’s love for His slave and the slave’s love for his Lord. [These ten are:] First, reciting the Qur’an while pondering over its meanings and what is meant by it. Second, getting closer to Allah by performing voluntary deeds after completing obligatory deeds. This is as is stated in a Hadith Qudsi: “My slave...
