We sit there and tell ourselves we’ll wake up earlier, we’ll read more Qur’aan, we’ll improve our character. We make such beautiful goals and have such pure intentions. Yet…day after day nothing changes.

Ya ikhwaan wa akhwaat, when you make a goal and you have good intentions to do it, don’t forget to plan HOW you will do it. For example, if your goal was to read more Qur’an:

Goal: Read more Qur’an.

Read 3 verses after each salah. or
Read one page after each salah. or
Read 3 pages after Fajr, Duhr, and Eesha. or
Read 3 pages before bed. or
Read Qur’an an hour a day.

Goal: Wake up earlier.

Figure out what time you want to wake up
Go here. To calculate when to sleep & when you should wake up.
Finish things early & turn off laptop/distractions 30 minutes before bed.
Place it away from you.
Go to sleep.

It’s one thing to have a goal and to have pure intentions to do it, but it’s another thing to actually figure out how to do it and to do it. Take the steps to accomplish the goal.
