To state that you have a bigger trial than someone else is idiotic. You don’t know what they’re battling. You don’t know what they’re struggling with internally. Because someone is not vocal about their struggles and their trials does not mean they don’t exist. Simply because a struggle of yours is deemed more ‘abnormal’ by society and you experience backlash for it doesn’t mean you must undermine everyone else’s. Everyone is tested differently. Even if we were tested with the same trial, we are still tested differently; because we are different. We are put on this world to serve Allaah; and we are tried with many things: death, wealth, arrogance, ignorance, sexuality, etc. Whatever it is, it’s a trial. However ‘small’ it is, it’s still a trial. However ‘large’ it is, it’s still a trial. However private it is, it’s still a trial. However public it is, it’s still a trial.
Don’t attack others for not understanding you when you’re not even aware of the struggles they’re going through. If you want to be vocal about your trials, so be it. Others choose not to. Respect & honour that.
