The media hasn’t nor will they grasp the concept of ‘Khawarij’ which are the true extremists so they’ll stick to labeling any seemingly extremist view of Islam as “Salafists” or “Salafism” and this is further funded by Muslims themselves who should know better but are too busy making up words like “wahhabi” to further fuel the fire of falsehood.
