Henna & bakhoor (incense) for the bride/groom.

Henna & bakhoor (incense) for the bride/groom.

there are deeper sins than the ones that are shown, & mankind is failing at concealing his evil.

how can we be free when we’re constrained by the very wings that fly us.

How is Shari’ah inhumane when the acts that legislated the prescribed punishment were worse. When you are married and you commit adultery with another married individual, there is more harm to everyone around you than there is between you two. Families are involved, families are broken, trust is lost, sins are made public, everyone is affected, etc. & perhaps some of our ‘modern’ personalities will never understand why stoning is still used as a punishment, but who are we to try to understand Allaah with our limited mindsets when we can’t even understand the very behaviors we do? Does the painting know more than the painter? We don’t know, because Allaah knows best.

goals to accomplish:

make fetch happen.

When you underestimate yourself, you give the right to every single person around you to underestimate you.

The first step to improving the eeman, is to admit you need to improve your eeman. After that, figure out how you will, when you will, and have the intent & will.

Baba: What's on your face?
Me: Something's on my face?
Baba: You have something on your face?
Me: Wait, what's on my face?
Baba: Nothing is on your face...
Me: You said something was on my face?
Baba: Is something on your face?
Me: *checks* No...nothing is on my face.
Baba: Was there something on your face?
Me: What baba what are you talking about?
Baba: *leaves*
Me: What??? ..Is there something on my face though?

people will blog anything in arabic/chinese/urdu without knowing the meaning behind what they reblog.

fool, you’re reblogging something so indecent and irrelevant to the meaning under it, you’re on the verge of being labeled stupid.

My naseeha to those who want to wear the hejab/abayaa/and even the neqab, but their parents oppose it, wear it. Wear it every single day and put up with their comments. Put up with what they say, put up with what they do [unless they’re about to murder you???]. It’s hard. It’s extremely hard. It’s literally unbearable, but you have to stand firm.

It took a while for the people in my life to accept what I did, and every day they would tell me to dress my age (as in trendy clothe with fluorescent colours) and I never did. I would say okay but I never did and they knew I never would. & they still say I should dress my age and they still say I shouldn’t wear what I wear for reasons that are baseless, but I still wear what I wear. I still leave the house with them unhappy with what I wear but I did it. I stood my ground and now THEY advise ME whenever I don’t have something on properly. Even the people in my life that don’t wear hejab, still advise me about wearing something properly. & even though they have their reservations, they know not to bring it my way because I am still going to do what it is I am doing.

& the community talks, the people gossip, the word spreads ‘why isn’t she dressing her age.’ ‘why is she wearing that’ ‘why do you let your daughter wear this!’ and I hear it and I walk proud because I’m doing what I want to do, to please Allaah.

& wallahee it’s hard. Wallahee it’s difficult, extremely unbearable but it was a struggle and now they know where I stand. Let them know where you stand. Stand firm & have faith in Allaah.

  • They will oppose.
  • They will question.
  • They will try to make you second guess your decisions.
  • They will ask hypothetical questions.
  • They will ridicule.
  • They will mock.
  • They will look down on you & try to kill your spirits.

But you’re doing it for Allaah, so keep your head up high & keep doing what it is you’re doing. If they oppose, keep silent. If they question, answer with daleel. If they try to make you second guess your decisions, stand firm. If they ask hypothetical questions, give them the truth. If they ridicule, be patient. If they mock, be patient. If they try to look down on you and kill your spirits, be patient. Stand firm in your stance, always. Because they’d kill to see you show weakness, so stand firm insha’Allaah. Your reward doesn’t lie with them, it’s with Allaah subhanahu wa ta’ala.

but today was a beautiful jum’ah. alhamdulilaah.
